At Synergy Worldwide, along with our parent company Nature Sunshine, we are working towards rather than attempting to be the best company in the world, we work to be the best for the world. Our environmental, social, and governance practices illustrate this as we focus on reducing our impact on the planet while having a greater, positive impact on the lives of our employees, distributors, customers, and communities.
OUR SUSTAINABILITY GOALS
We are committed to becoming a force of nature through achieving our environmental, social, and governance goals. That's why in 2022 we set up four main sustainability goals which include:
∙ 50% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1 & 2) by 2025.
∙ 100% renewable energy at owned manufacturing facilities by 2023.
∙ 0% waste to landfill at all distribution centers by 2023.
∙ 35% reduction in waste at owned manufacturing facilities by 2025.
SUSTAINABLE ENERGY PRACTICES
Conservation efforts equal solid financial longevity. Through various methods including white roofs to reduce heating needs, solar panels for natural energy, or high-efficiency lighting to lessen our usage, we save vital resources while minimizing our impact on the earth.
PRIORITIZING RENEWABLE AND RECYCLABLE RESOURCES
We aim to reduce our impact wherever possible and that includes focusing on post-consumer recycled packaging (PCR) material, including the use of finished product bottles made entirely from PCR materials. Not only do we recycle cardboard from our shipping and manufacturing operations, but we also make sure to partner with those who work to reduce, reuse, and recycle as well.
We are also converting to sustainable packaging, and we already launched our eco-friendly packaging for our Synergy Biome Shake and SmartMeal with the intention of reducing our GHG emissions and fossil fuel consumption. The new durable, bio-based container is derived from sugar beets, petroleum-free, and 100% recyclable.

Our employee policies reflect our commitment to the success of our employees and to creating a workplace free of discrimination where every employee can have space to grow. We enforce fair hiring practices and provide development opportunities to all employees.
IMPACT COMMUNITIES
In 2019, along with Nature Sunshine, we established our corporate social initiative, the Impact Foundation, which allows us and our employees, distributors, and customers to share the power of our products with everyone. We recognize that not everyone has access to the important wellness products we offer. The Impact Foundation will fill this gap and make them accessible to all.
